Our main focus going forward is to add significant value in this arena. The Nexus between water, energy, and food in the majority of countries is a critical aspect of building sustainable social-ecological systems. Many countries face unique challenges due to climate, limited water resources, and the need to ensure a secure food supply for its population. The interconnections between water, energy, and food systems have far-reaching implications for the environment, economy, and social well-being.

De-globalisation and climate change will have a wide range of impacts on countries. De-globalisation will reduce trade, investment, and labour mobility, leading to slower economic growth, higher unemployment and lower wages. It could also lead to increased regional tensions as countries become increasingly inward-looking and protectionist.

This will add significant strain and cost to maintaining international value chains, especially within Food Security. Over reliance on inputs and outputs have been clearly identified at a Geopolitical level as a strategic threat to any national Food Security policy and management.

Climate change is likely to bring more extreme weather patterns and sea level rise, which will threaten coastal infrastructure, increase food insecurity and water scarcity, and put additional pressure on already strained natural ecosystems.

Our firm conviction is that a thorough comprehension of the Macro Environment, coupled with the identification and acceptance of associated risks, enables us to effectuate meaningful change at the Micro Environmental level through risk mitigation. While our influence on the global environment may be indirect, we are confident that positive interventions at the Micro Environmental level can catalyze broader societal improvements.

The need to change the way we look at the development of both industrialised agricultural and  tourism is not only informed by the real threat to rural life and poor ecological management practices and climate change, but the real threat of the El Nino effect, that will result in drought conditions over the next 5 years - this is real and immediate.

We need to build solutions around rural sustainability via changing agricultural practices away from industrial fertilisers and inputs, focus on Rural Development through Eco-tourism or specific country strengths to ensure a future that is greener, food secure and more sustainable economically proven, financially viable projects for its citizens.

We have significant experience in Food Security and Rural Development within Strategy and Policy development, project development and implementation at a National and Regional Government level, NGO and Statutory Agencies such as the EU, DFID and others.
